Russian government to decide on second pension rise in one month
SIMFEROPOL, Jul 1 (PRIME) -- The Russian government with decide on a second increase of pensions within a month, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets told reporters on Friday.
“The first half year ended today and I hope that its results will be summarized when we assess our revenue base,” Golodets said.
Russian pensions were increased by 4% on February 1. The authorities plan an additional increase of pensions in July–December, the size and the date of which will be stipulated by law.
In January, Golodets said that authorities plan the second increase to raise pensions by 12.9% in total this year, the level of inflation for 2015.
